The LBH team are back from our travels in New York and already on the mountain doing what we love, leading a fantastic group of Snowshoe and Yoga enthusiasts for two days of adventure in the fresh snowfall. New York was just as chilly as France this past week, but we were well prepared for the cold as we ventured to the Big Apple to attend The New York Times Travel Show.
At Live Breathe Hike, we are always looking for new, exciting ways to bring you the best opportunities and experiences, as well as looking for ways to take our fantastic range of hiking and wellbeing trips to a new audience. The NY Times Travel Show is a fantastic way to network, meet our colleagues in the travel industry and to see how the travel industry varies from country to country.
Located at the Javitz Centre, the first day of the event (Friday) was industry facing and proved a great way to discuss and share ideas with like-minded travel providers from across the globe. We also had the opportunity to attend an exciting and informative range of seminars, delivered by experts in their fields from across the globe. From creating effective social media content to the best travel gadgets to buy, the seminars were extremely varied and useful.
Saturday and Sunday were spent networking and experiencing everything that the Travel Show had to offer. The array of travel providers, as well as national tourism presence, from around the world was very impressive, with a lot of cultural insights and unique experiences tempting travelers who are looking for something special from their next vacation.
We tasted some amazing food being freshly prepared at some of the booths and chatted to some fantastic people, all of whom shared our ethos of bringing unique, uplifting experiences to our clients.
It wasn’t all work and no play though – we took time to explore the city, meet up with old friends and plan for 2019.
