From the very beginning creating unique journeys has been a passion of mine. Not just simply getting from A to B each day, navigating smoothly, or advising on equipment etc, but genuinely bringing a deeper level of connection to the place, people, landscape and cultural aspects that shape a destination.

Each year I attempt to create new journeys that encapsulate this philosophy and harness a sense of exploration and discovery that takes people on a vivid, pure journey from start to finish. The way a trip is guided is very, very important. Creating an expedition family, by manifesting equality of opportunity for all provides a stable and supportive base line that nurtures the highs and lows of expedition life; and ultimately creates a safe and stable environment that allows individuals to perform without the need to compete or judge one another. For many people the journey is not just a physical one, but often emotional and spiritual. During an expedition you have a lot of time to think, be still, read, share conversation, reflect, meet new people and witness many new experiences. For some this can really nurture their existing lives and for others it allows them to make changes for the better.

2025 is no exception and I have created – Ladakh – Markha Tso Moriri Trek & the Korzok Festival – July 11th – 31st 2025 $3750pp

Starting from Leh in Northen India we complete a linear trek crossing the Himalayan passes of Zalung Karpo La (5200m), Kyamayuri-la (5430m), Kartse-la (5380m) & Yarlung Nyau-la (5440m) with an opportunity to climb the mountain of Yalung Nong South (6080m), followed by the 2 – day festival at Korzok monastery overlooking the majestic Tso Moriri lake. Korzok Gustor festival could easily qualify as one of the most memorable and beautiful festivals in the whole of Ladakh region. What adds charm to the festival is the attendance of Changpa nomadic groups who come in large numbers to attend the festival. The Korzok monastery, affiliated to the Drukpa lineage, was founded by Kunga Lodro Ningpo around three centuries back.

This is a unique one-off Expedition and compliments our previous ExpeditIons to Pakistan, and Nepal, visiting remote regions, spending time with incredible people and joining, often a life changing journey as part of an expedition family.
